  • Removed front sway bar

    its a big @ss sway bar..and powder coated red..so its about 30lbs with links..obviously the car doesnt corner like it used to but i took it for a pretty rigorous test drive and i was pretty surprised at how well it still handles..anyways..between this, a lightweight battery, and possibly a set of skinnies i think i can take about another 100lbs off the nose of that car [img]smile.gif[/img]

    Why not just take it off at the track.
    Handle well on the streets...strip it for the track.

        I usually take it off, and keep it off for a week or two and hit the track up 2-4 times [img]smile.gif[/img] And since I run streets tires at the track I keep my track wheels on the whole time too. Makes it easier [img]smile.gif[/img]

        besides also alot more fun, with no front and 245s you don't care about because you got the 4 wheels and tires for $60, to go around kicking the tail end out a bit [img]smile.gif[/img]

          I haven't had a sway bar for months. I recently removed the brackets because it's never going back.

            I thought.... front sway bar/ end links weighed in at.....12.5-13 pounds.....
            Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
            nitrous et & mph: 12.168 & 110.95 mph, n/a 13.746 & 96.38 mph
            2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8: 12.125, 116.45
            2010 Ford Taurus SHO: no times yet

                mine has a pretty thick powder coating on it..plus its and aftermarket 32mm one.. 23lbs!
