    g-Force T/A Drag Radial

    or..

    g-Force T/A Drag Radial 2

im thinking that the g-Force T/A Drag Radial 2 would be better..im looking cuz i'd like to see what the ET difference would be running my welds and my C5s.the welds i have weigh 19lbs and i believe my C5 replicas are 21lbs (not positive on the C5 weight though)..but i cant find the g-Force T/A Drag Radial 2 in an 18" ..does anyone know where they sell them in an 18"?..and of course..which one do you think is better?? can you tell me your reasoning for using an 18" wheel for racing?

I think he likes the "true street car" look and bragging rights.

i want to see what the difference would be..if there isnt really much of a difference then i would just run my 18" wheels instead of having to change wheels to race..there is only about 2 lbs difference in the wheel weight..im not sure how much the larger diameter matters?..

James..by reading the write-up you posted (thanks!) it really seems like theres no difference but the name?..

                  Just a name.

One is the newer style drag radial... one is the old one.... they are the same though.

With 18's though... it is not just a weight difference.

                  Rolling resisitance is increased.
                  Unsprung weight increased
                  Rotating mass increased
                  LOWER sidewall... hurts traction

about the rolling resistance..it still comes out to be 26"..wouldnt it now make a difference?..or is that more to do wit the weight?..i was thinking about that lower sidewall hurting traction though..may make them less squirly at the top end though..got some thinking to do..id really like to run em both just to see the difference..i am out for numbers..but im also out for a little more fun at the track this season..playing with some different things..like always i guess..thank you for your insight James..i'll take those all into consideration

Take a look at ALL pro stock/ funny cars... they run HUGE TALL tires!

All about sidewall height (also tire growth, gearing etc) for flexing and then traction.

hmm..given the same tire on both wheels..what do you think the difference in ET would be?

Do you mean no difference between the gforce DR and the gforce DR-2? Or no difference between gforce DR-2 and Comp t/a DR?

As far as I can tell, then just renamed the comp T/A DR to gforce DR-2.
