I have a 3.4 firebird should i manually shift or just leave it in auto for the 1/4 mile and what about a shift kit

Shift kits are nice [img]smile.gif[/img] Check drivetrain section for best recommended.... I like the b&m shift KIT stage 2.... NOT b&m shift plusRace car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6

I also leave mine in overdrive, but I manually stall to about 1500-1700 rpms when I am on the line. Shift kit would probably help, but for the big boost, get slicks and a 2800 rpm stall converter. Expensive but well worth it if you can do it.
