• NEW BEST 13.4@101!!

this was on a dry kit that i set back up..i was doing some testing yesterday with the wet setup and still couldnt get it to work right..heres how it went..

first run was a 120 (63 jet) shot:
60': 2.090
330': 5.818
1/8: 8.943
MPH: 78.34
1000': 11.713
1/4: 14.48
MPH: 95.40

i could feel it bogging and see it running a bit rich on the a/f gauge..so i put in a 150 (67 jet):
60': 2.116
330': 5.689
1/8: 8.669
MPH: 81.58
1000': 11.307
1/4: 13.643
MPH: 94.03

60': 2.071
330': 5.669
1/8: 8.658
MPH: 81.36
1000': 11.271
1/4: 13.468 <--- NEW BEST!
MPH: 101.43

60': 2.124
330': 5.724
1/8: 8.707
MPH: 81.33
1000': 11.327
1/4: 13.528
MPH: 101.21

..the slip will be on my site later..if anyone wants verification i have no problem with that..maybe we can get Infernal out to the track with me for a day..all i know is im excited..i beat my new goal for the season once 12s looked out of reach..i beat my personal best of 13.60 last year..after bigger injectors and some tuning..12s look like they may be in reach again..but im happy here

i was spraying as soon as i could (i have an auto)..but i think i can get that down a little sooner too..i had the rear tires down to 25psi so i wasnt having too much trouble with spin..once i fix the laptop i gotta check on the injectors too

if james dropped .7 off his ET with a 3000 stall you could be in the 12's with the dry shot for $800 and it would still be very street able. How many guys are running 12’s on a dry shot? Claim the dry shot title!!!

Shut up don't tell him to get a converter yet... he doesn't need anything else to change!

Nice times, off hand what is the dry shot best anyways?

Glad to see you are finally getting some stuff together and getting good clean respectable runs. Get the laptop fixed, see what the car is doing(I mean if I had hptuners, I log everything and tweak everything and my car is almost stock)

Once you get your car running kind of right(decent mph) focus on certain parts mainly the 60' or when you hit the juice.

yeah i definitely need to get that laptop up..we've been charging the battery but i think it just needs a new one..i know the car is not consistant through the runs..although it pulls off the times it does..the MPH could be higher..i think its slowing towards the end..which..although everything feels smooth..may be due to the injectors..i was also only running 93 octane pump gas when it should'v ebeen race fuel..so i wont be running again until i have the ability to log

i believe James holds the dry shot record with a 12.86@104 on a 120 shot

hey stupid question but that 150 shot does that mean a 120hp shot of NOS or what?

NOS is a brand name..i believe what you are trying to ask is ..is that a 120hp shot of nitrous oxide?..the answer is no..a shot size is what it is..NOS advertises that a shot size..whatever it be..will give you within 3hp (i think) at the flywheel of that shot size..for example..a 150 shot is supposed to give me within 3hp an additional gain of 150hp at the flywheel..of course..depending on your setup..you will lose hp by the time it reaches the rear wheels and the pavement through the drivetrain..i think i got a gain of 60hp - 65hp out of an 85 dry shot..this is usually the case..especially with a dry system as apposed to wet..which usually delivers the advertised gain right to the rear wheels..although it is possible to see a gain larger than advertised..i think James saw a gain of 136hp at the rear wheels from a 120 dry shot..in short..nitrous..kicks @ss

Cool if you have bugs, still straighten them out... Once you get the mph you think you should run, then focus on tweaking your runs to run better. A converter is a definite good idea in teh future, you can start investigating it but I know you like to buy things up right away and throw them in.

I'd consider your 2nd 2 runs consistant, not brakcet racing winners, but pretty consistant, the mph was very similar and times were close, the differneces could be just form temp change.

though the first 94 mph was a bit low.
