Sprayed out of the hole! :)

i was out this past saturday..due to a trip i was going on i only got one run in because they started REALLY late and i had to leave by 11:30..

so anyways..i was up against a 99+ supercharged Mustang GT..i usually run with the tires at 25 - 28 psi but i wanted to try spraying right out of the hole..so i lowered them to 20..i had the nitrous armed and ready for when i hit WOT..stalled to 2000rpms..then floored it..the nitrous kicked in right away..it was AWESOME..front end really came up..and i could see the GT just go right behind me..i was ahead of him the whole first 1/2 of the run..

i spun to a 2.0 60' (gotta lower the psi more) ..and he got a 2.3..i was still ahead of him by a few tenths at the 330' mark..but somewhere between there and the 1/8th mile i ran out of juice..i thought i had enough for a coulpe runs..oh well..so my car bogged a little and i shut it off..

he passed me by the 1/8th mile..i ran a 14.5..and he ran a 13.1 ..so i figured if i didnt run out of juice and stayed a few tenths ahead of him i woulda ran a 12! ..but sure enough i purged when i was done and it was nothing but dead air..oh well..

next time i'll have my new launch..timing pulled..tire psi adjusted..and 30# injectors!

well i have to do the injectors cuz im still running a LITTLE bit lean on the top end..but yeah other than that im just runnin it..i think spraying out of the hole i can get a 1.8 60' if i can hook up [img]smile.gif[/img]

I know we keep telling you not to change things, but I can't see for the life of me why you are trying to hook up a car spraying off the line with 18" wheels. I think you're nuts. Grab some 15x7 or 15x8 wheels, and toss a set of drag radials on them. I bet you gain TONS in the 60'

it dead hooks every time i launch it normally..i just have to get it to right off the line..which i will eventually..i like running the 18s cuz first of all..i AM nuts :D ..second..people at the track just about crap themselves when the see the times i run on 18x9.5 chrome wheels [img]smile.gif[/img]

^ definitely..im running a bit lean towards the end and getting a CRAPLOAD of KR in the beginning so i still have a bit of tuning to do..i should be out again this weekend with a little more tuning and the 30# injectors
