His rear was built by a local machine shop (one of those Saturday night dirt track racers) and he had the girdle installed right away.

Here's a vid I was inadvertently captured in. I was in the left lane, so you miss the lauch but you can hear me bouncing off the rev limiter before the launch. I was racing an LT1 car, looked pretty well prepped, I think he was working on his launch too since he sat at the line for a second.
