oh i was talking about just the engine parts..not even including labor..without labor i spent almost 4 grand on a brand new powerdyne setup with fuel pump and bov..ran an 85 dry shot with it and still only ran a 13.6 cuz i had absolutely no tuning (granted this was on the open 3.08 and street tires)..by the time shes done with the engine she'll have probably spent the same amount of $$$ that i did on the powerdyne stuff and run almost a full second faster..the rest of the car's a different story..if only i knew then what i know now..i would've kept the same setup..got bigger injectors, a 3.42 LSD with drag radials, and HP Tuners and been in the 12s a long time ago..shes doin it right the first time

haha, that salad killed her budget.

Nice runs Kristen! I think you will be able to hit your goal on nitrous.

What was the density altitude when you ran? Those times still don't sound right.

I ran a crappy 14.6@96.7 with a 2.25 60' at 1300' DA, untuned on stock 3.23s, stock suspension.

yeah I didn;t knwo she was running heads/cam/tune.

I woudl check the density altitude out 85% humidity is crappy, usually kills us FL people. What gears? if they are above 3.23s and with those mods I think you might be able to be cutting 1.9s n/a

What do you stall up at?

I don't know what time you went to the track last night, but I used the weather info from the Philly airport at 9pm (when the temp was 63°) and got a density altitude of 190 ft. With that low of a DA, you should be definitely be faster.

3.73s. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/715757

The 60's not that bad, but the trap speed/et seems off to me.

I think their is room for improvement, I have hit 2.0s on my 3.23s, and my 3.42s in my 3.4L I was hitting 2.0s consistantly.

Its not horrid but always room for improvement, but she does need to get the mph up.

alli do is spin to a 2.1 in my firebird with the 3.08 open. and i trap at 105 with no traction between shifts.
but then again. i aint stock. my quarter time is slower then it should be too with what im trapping i should be around 13.5 not 13.6 but im not hooking up newehre.

once i do my rear end swap next week. change my intake next week. change my lifters. then head out to the track again what u guys think 115 at 12.1? is what im expecting right now my manifold makes power from 3500 to 8000 rpms
my engine makes power form idle to 6000. reason im putting in a new manifold for 1500-6500 whichi s basically where i shift.
and with the 3.42 and LSD and a set of bigger tires. im expecting low 12's i plan on removing a few items from teh vehicle and running on less fuel instead of 3/4 tank. and ive already lost 5 lbs since hte last time i ran it lol. i plan on taking out seats the spare tire. and teh panels and stuff i had in the trunk.
Who thinks i can hit low 12's?

that shes got lots of room for improvement. all she needs is a better launch.

Atco is notorious for really crappy track prep on nights that the bracket racers aren't there. That's why Tuesdays are better than Thursdays.

It would be nice to see logs of those runs because that does seem off for heads/cam/gears/tune.

I know the launch wasn't right, but did you drill all of your shifts well Kristen?

like i said the prep really sucked that night in both lanes. i know that i can get my 60ft back to 1.8. that was my best so far. the only reason why i went to the track on thursday is because hockeyman and i are going to be doing the stage 3 clutch soon. so that means i have to take it easy for a week or 2. i want to get there this tuesday and log some runs. well i have decided on a few other things that i'm going to buy in early aug.(my birthday's the 5th) losing the 3.73 gears and getting 4.10.(how is your gas little g) and i need to get a new posi and drum roll please.....wideband. then i know that i can really get myself on track.
