Hey, I take offense to that, my truck can handle with the 1 1/4" swaybar I put on it.

I did run without a swaybar for awhile it was fine under normal driving, but def couldnt take a corner. I have no experience with an fbody though.

I say take it off for the track if you would like, but if you care at all about handling, I am sure you will want to put it back on.

work on that nitrous before worrying about things like removing the sway bar..you're getting about 1.5 seconds out of that 100 shot when you should be able to get around 2..maybe more..there's still a lot more to be gained there..go back set up the same way..log some runs..and just keep practicing

My car hadnles just fine without hte front sway bar. i havent had it on since i did the swap. it still turns. the front end is a lil loose. i dont recomend it for a daily driver. but it saves about 10-30 lbs off the front i cant remember how much it weighs.
it doesnt handle like a boat. i have about 500-800 miles (spedo isnt connected guestimating this)
and i havent noticed a single problem.

ohh and actully she should be worrying about her launches more so then her nitrous

she has heads and cam and pulled a 2.0 60' she should be in the 1.8 1.7 on spray atleast if not faster then that if she pulled a 1.7 all else being the same that should drop her .6 sec alone

pull the front sway it deffinetly helps the launch by transfering weight to the wheels.

also I dont know what rear tire you are using but if you are on those c5 rims those are not helping

run stock 16" if you can with a drag tire atleast

couple friends have seen a .4 diffrence going from a 17" tire to a stock 16"

smaller tire = taller gear also lighter probably

I think you should get the 2 step and go out and just practice n/a if you cant pull 1.8 with heads and cam with a good launch and traction some thing is wrong you need to work your launch out

little g pulls 1.8's with his stock motor you have to atleast have 20rwhp more then him so you should be able to pull atleast a 1.8 when you can pull 1.8's then I would spray but you may need more tire at that point I dont know if a drag radial will be enough

No, you don't need slicks. People have run 7's on drag radials...

You need to keep working on the suspension and the tune. Why you wouldn't want to launch off the 2 step is beyond me. Besides, I don't think it is something that you can turn off, there will always be a P/N rev limiter, it just depends on where you set it.

If I were you I would run NA until you are consistently getting the ET and mph that you should have for a heads/cam/tune car. Then work on the spray. It's not as glorious at first, but once everything is working correctly, you'll have a well setup car that lays down fast times.

I agree on that... get your n/a numbers running nicely, then start going for the juice. You will be fine on drag radials for now.

i thought you already did your suspension?..id get a set of lower control arms, and adjustable torque arm set to around -3*, a pan hard rod..and maybe weld-in subframe connectors..i run drag radials and spray off the line right at WOT..last time out my nitrous was only working off the line cuz of a leaking hose..but i got mid 1.8s - low 1.9s 60's every run
