generally the lower the tire pressure th emore rolling resistance you'll have dropping your mph...other then that its really just dependant upon hook...bottom line is use the highest tire pressure you can while hooking as well as possible & use the smallest tire possible.

does it just drop your mph or will it effect you ET too?..cuz what i dont get is that i have two different slips on the 175 shot..on one run a got a 1.8 60' and ran 13.1@98 ..but on another run a got a 2.1 60' but ran the same time @104..right now i have 265s on the rear..i think im gonna move to 245s ..i like the "holy sh*t" i get when people see im actually running drag radials on my 18" C5s and getting my ET lol
so id like to drop my tire psi a bit in the rear but i dont want it to slow me down enough to kill my chance at 12s
since you are clearly spinning the tires dropping pressure in search of traction won't hurt your shot at 12's.
you will see some loss of trap speed, but drag racing is about et's, not trap speeds.
yeah i dont really care about the trap im all about ET..i usually have them at 25..this allowed me to dead hook all the way up to the 150 shot..but doesnt work on the 175..i'll bring em down to 20 and if i hook just start working my way back up..thanks guys!
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
