im racing tomorrow morning..trying to hit a 12 on the 175 shot and a lower 60'..after that i am going to go back to the 150 shot and try lowering the AFR to get more fuel like Drone was advising..i'll start .5 at a time and go from there..i took about 75 lbs. out of my car last night..and will also be on 107 octane race fuel..its like James said to me a while ago..goals get harder and harder the faster you run..i just cant seem to break through that wall to 12s..any more tips before i head out?..my only concern is that the weight i removed was the back seats, spare/spare, and rear panels..since these things were in the rear my concern it it may increase my spin..what do you guys think about that?..will it effect me that much?..should i lower my psi (i've been running 19 on this shot)..its also gonna be pretty hot/humid..any tips?

i wouldnt think that the weight u took out is gonna be enough to mess with ur weight distribution too much...depending on track prep and weather conditions, id start out at the normal psi u run at and go from there.....also u really should take off that front swaybar....i know u said ur goal is to hit 12s on the 18s but they are sooo heavy....at least mine are

are you spraying off the line? One of the biggest factors is your short times. Get that 60' down to a 1.8 and you'll feel a helluva difference. what are you launching at?

The car's got 12's written all over it!!!!

i didnt take the front sway bar off yet..but i did remove the whole front number support brace..big pain in the @ss ..but that way i could remove front end weight and keep my handling..im spraying right off the line..i stall to about 1800 - 2000 rpms with the nitrous armed and just floor it..i usually get 1.8 60's but its tough on this shot size..im pretty confident that is i can get a 1.8 i'll break into the 12s

so i should start at the normal 19 psi i run..and if the weight reduction is causing spin..lower it a little more?

Unbolt the sway before you go. It's weight on the nose, and it limits your suspension travel and weight transfer.

Like he said. Removing the front sway bar has more to do with weight transfer than weight reduction. The front sway prevents the rear from sitting. Have you ever noticed the high horsepower cars. Do both front tires lift to the same height or does one wheel lift higher than the other? The driver side front wheel wants to raise higher than the passenger. The front sway bar prevents this by keeping the wheels even. This restriction affects the weight transfer to the rear wheels.

                    My suggestion..... don't go.

                    Lower that shot.
My 3200 stall is still available.

Bring car to me for the magic nitrous touch.

                    Nuff said.

you shoudl be well into teh 12's, but that would require you getting around to actual chassis/suspension/driveline mods. lol
james is right about grabbing some stall speed. especially if you can find a TC with a softer hit than the stocker. it will help teh car leave better and on a stronger part of teh power band.
i bet james' old TC would knock 3 tenths off even with how much you spin at the line.

                        later
