• micky Thompson et street drag radials

Anybody uses them any feed back would be great. I see that bf is a good choice but i prefer mt. I still want to use the same size which is 16.

m/t's are great radials. they make a 255/50-16 that would be slightly taller and wider than your stock tire, but still fits a factory 16inch wheel.

Whats done you have done to your car that makes you think you need these? This is a very sticky and agresive tire. I used the mt et streets before these came out,(these are stickier) and I had better results with my nitto 555r's. Best 60' on the nitto's was a 1.94 best on the mt was 1.98.

My next tire purchase, which will probably be pretty soon, will be the MT drag radials. From what I have read these are pretty aggressive tires and hook exceptionally well. The BFGs are also a fantastic drag radial and have served me quite well for years. From what I see on your site, I really don't think that you need the MTs at this time. If you want a drag radial, go with the BFGs. I didn't see anything on your site about suspension mods, and if you want to go fast in the 1/4, you'll need to get that worked out. For more info, search this forum for info about setting up your suspension. You'll find plenty of info on the BFG Drag radials in here as well. The reason you don't see too much info about the MTs is because not a whole lot of people on this site require them. The tire has even been outlawed in some of the street classes for bracket racing because of its sticky properties. Feel free to email me in you need any more info.

Don't throw power at a car with no suspension mods. You will be disappointed with the results.

Nitto's would be 245/50/16's, the bf's and the mt's are 255/50/16. I agree with little g, build your suspension first.

start with a posi and some gears.
a good torque arm, chromoly is always good.
boxed stock control arms or good aftermarket control arms.
cold air intake, fast toys/slp/ whatever + whatever brand of lid. they all work about the same
get data logged and a real tune done. you can actually buy hptuners for yourself and have an endless supply of tunes and adjustments at your finger tips.

First upgrade the lca's and panhard bar. Is anything suspension wise done to your car already (ie Lowered?)

panhard bar = waste for drag racing. only reason to change it is if you spend the money on a really light one

MT drag radials might be a bit overkill.

BF's work fine.

Nitto's are pretty good.

LCA's aka trailing arms boxed work perfectly. I would add a panhard rod also since you are in the area. (keeps @ss end in check and relocates weight distribution to rear a smidge more)

1. panrod
2. trailing arms
3. torque arm
4. control arms
anything else as for tires i would go with bf
