Well, I figured I would try using my nitrous for the first time at the track and see where it would get me. Here are some details:
Ran at Budwieser Motorsports Park: 2200 fasl
Around 20 C, perhaps a little cooler as the evening went on. My bottle was at just a touch under 900 psi.
Here's how my best run worked out:
R/T - .272
60' - 2.442
330 - 6.510
1/8 - 9.698
MPH - 77.87
1000 - 12.446
1/4 - 14.796
MPH - 95.26
Correcting just for altitude that works out to a 14.417 @ 97.82 MPH with an open rear and pretty bald tires. I really couldn't be more happy! My best N/A was a 15.8XX.
The best I could do with my supercharger with 5 pounds of boost was 15.0X, and with my first try out I beat it by a few tenths. With a bit more fine tuning with bottle pressure and what not, I'm sure I can drop that a bit more.
After this, I think I'm done with HP mods for quite ahwile, and will start tackling the suspension end of things like new tires (Eagle F1 GS D3's) and some 3.73's & LSD w/programming for them. That'll drop that 60' dramatically and should give me some great new bests. I'm really loving the nitrous, it has such a great kick to it, such an awesome feeling!
