You might have picked up 10 hp from all that.

If your "tuning" is an HPP3, you didn't get anything from it.

Now 98Camaro3.8 i know your a moron. Who the fukc gains 3hp from an exhaust system, 3 HP from a cold air high flow intake and 3 HP from burning more high octane fule with advanced timing. Please i could have reamed my cat out with u friggin stick on stock exhaust and gain 3 HP from some jerry rigged crap like that and you know it. Lets use some comon sence and stop trying to just be a d¡ck head.

Icebird, you realize you can't just add up the "claimed hp gains" from all of your mods and expect that to be what you're putting down right? Honestly, get your car dyno'd, and then come and talk to us about common sense. You'll be in for a huge shock.

No if i add up all the "claimed" HP my mods put down added up it would be more like +15 for the catback +4 for the cat + 15 fir the intake and + 20 for the tuning. And yes that the HP numbers printed on all the boxex for these products. That comes to 254 and i figured 242. Thats a 12 hp differance.

Take my word for it, once you dyno, you'll understand what we're talking about.

lol good one. No the 15.9 was a stock run and for the 3 time i didnt say i beat him. He was behind me on the freeway doing 55 i punched it then he punched it, as we accelerated he went into the next lane. From that point we where already doing almost 80 and he gained on me at the rate of about 1mph untill 110 and i braked. Unga Munga.

now if the lt1 TA was like an eigth mile behind you when you both hit it...that could be a different story...but from what your telling us it sounds like you raced a v6

Believe it or not you guys have helped. I have come to the conclution that this was probibly an automatic, i had a bit more gear. Ok lets say this. What if i was 1500 or so rpm ahead the whole time evening the HP a little more.

Was probably a 6 speed and he kept it in 6th gear and he held even.

Doesnt matter. It doesnt help your story any. I'm sure that LT1 put downs more rwhp than you at 2000 rpm then you would at your peak. Not to mention, has ~100 more lb. ft. of torque at any given rpm...

lol im a moron...

comeback with some real numbers not whats posted on a box. if thats the case i have some magic rocks that make your car faster,at least 40hp,ill sell them to you for $100.

im the farthest thing from being a moron. youre just ricer dynoing via "the box said 20hp so that means +20hp"

hpp3 DOES NOT DO ANYTHING go do a search on it.
at 110 the v6 is pretty much is out of breath. at 110 the lt1 isnt even close to A)running out of breath and B)not close to topping out.

btw i hope steve gets ahold of this since your cussing up a storm.

current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it

Man, his spelling/grammer is killing me

Anyway, with those mods, your new 1/4 mile might be a 15.4 if your lucky since your stock 1/4 mile was 15.9 before.

The slowest automatic LT1 is still going to be well into the low 14's.
