The main thing with LS1's is they don't lose speed, they pull strong to 150+. I ran 13.1's @ 106 with mine, only mod was an exhaust cut-out and I had 2.73's. I raced my old room-mate in his Z28 (also ran 13.1's) with my GTP, 0 - 45 I could pull on him, 45 - 60 he pulled on me (pcm's torque management pulls 33% of power on the shift  ) and from 60 - 95 we were even. From my experience, if we would have kept going, I would have gotten smoked. The longer the race with an LS1, the less chance you have of keeping up.New Car: 2004 GTP Comp G (Test Vehicle) 13.936@99.32
Mods: Cylinder Filter,No Mufflers, 3.3\"
Old Car: 2000 Formula 13.124 @ 106.01 with 2.73\'s
Other Car: 1993 Firebird 16.1@83

Good lord!
Lots of confused people here!
LS1... I have seen as low as 280 RWHP stock and as high as 312 RWHP stock
1/4 = as quick as high 12's (exceptional driver), typical mid 13's and then much lower due to piss poor drivers.
V6 fbody = as quick as 14.8/9 stock (exceptional driver/ car), mid 15's and then much slower
Take a v6 f body (mid 15's) add a 100 shot and have no intake/ exhaust and I would expect a car to run with LT1's stock
Take that above V6 and add intake and exhaust and I would expect it to run with LS1's stock
Now... can you get a 'ringer' v6 which is much quicker on the bottle? Yup.
Can you get the same in a v8? Yup.
This has become a guessing match.
BTW, don't advance timing with nitrous
LS1's don't die around 86 (ls1's are top end cars, LT1's are the TQ monsters and lack top end)
Hope this clears itt up.
And.... as for the neon guy making his comments.... nothing wrong with his comments.
Play nice people!Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
