tommorow's going to be my first time at the track with the new rear end, and since may. hopefully going to run the mid 12's i should be running. i ordered some drag radials yesterday im gettign them mounted before i go to the track tomoro. that should get me down fromt he 2.8 60' to maybe a 2.2 lol which should lower my et quite a bit and should at least give me traction for my 2-3 shift at which i break lose in just like the 1-2 i break hard in. and first gear is just a tire warmer pretty much. all theyd o is spin through the whole gear. ive ditched the 3.08 open and went with a 3.42 lsd and ta cover,
hopefully ill be running what i should be the new gears pull alot harder. and they coast alot better then the 3.08s did on the eway the 3.08s seamed to slow me down the new gears stay in the rpms better even if im at 3 grand doing 60 mph on the expressway. i go 70 or 80 and eveyrone starts looking at me cuz im at 3500 coasting along waaawawawwawaaaa rrrrrr louder then hell. i love the way its pulling. and going from opent o lsd is a huge difference. the new gears break the tires lose in the 1-2 at a shift from 2 grand and up. i could only imagine what a 4.11 would do lol.
but wish me luck. hopefully ill be able to actually launch it from the beams instead of slowly roll forward and slowly touch the gas. and still spin everwhere.
