  • My 60's are killing me

It was test and tune on sat. this past weekend. Well I only got to run twice. The first pass was this
    rt: .531
    60': 2.36
    1/8: 9.70 @68mph
    1000:12.83
    1/4:14.75 @ 88mph
the temp outside was pretty nice here in IN 78 degrees at 5pm
    second:
    rt: .554
    60':2.41
    1/8: 9.82@64
    1000':12.92
    1/4: 14.81@87mph
I have no clue as to why with my gears i am only pulling 2sec plus 60's could anyone help me out if i can get that down to 2.0 secs i would be a happy guy. I figure if i can get that down I should be able to run a 14.3 or 14.2 easily
    Thanx for your help

ok van help me out I just got off the phone with my friend. He has a 91 IROC w/ drag radials, and said I can come swipe them in the morning. Will those bolt on directly to my 99? If it will its gonna be an ugly ride to the track. Chrome rims up front and old aluminum w/ rust spots all over in the back. lol

Get a torque converter (that is if you have an automatic)

Based on his traps, I bet its a manual. Practice is the only way to learn man, you just need some more track time. I don't think the 3rd gen wheels bolt right up, but I could be wrong.

im pretty sure they wont bolt up. i think you need spacers or something like that, i cant remember the correct name for it.

rained out today, and i am a at i just do the hold my foot on brake mod i have raced it about 15 times i started w/ trap times at about .6 the adrinline actually is what caused that, having my heart pumping so hard but about after 5-6 passes i got alot better on that but I did find out i can use them just not for too long cuz it will throw my alignment out.(So i've been told)so my next time i go to the track i will use them

Practice makes perfect and that's all there is to it. I just drove around with my buddy Ryan who hasn't been in my car for 3 months (took him for a ride so he could feel the 4.10s) and he was amazing at how much better I had gotten at shifting. It's the same thing with launching, practice, practice, practice!
