do i have a chance against a 03 mustang gt?

My friend has a 03 mustang gt and he is always bragging that his car is alot faster than mine, so i told him to race and find out? Do I have a chance
here are my mods
3'flowmaster catback, 3 inch high flow cat, ceramic coated headers(from Rk sport)K&N Air charger intake system, Hypertech programmer, 180 thermostat, and i have a compucar Nitrous system with a 20-100 shot I'm currently using only a 40 shot, Do I have a chance or is he going to beat me pretty bad???

What tranny's in both cars? Is his car stock? On the spray, you SHOULD be able to beat him(with a bigger shot). To many factors to really say but if he isn't stock, you are gunna have a hard time. Those cars run low 14's/ high 13's stock.

His car is completely stock the only thing he has is a k&n air filter, how big of a shot do i need 60?

I'd run the 75 shot, and you shoudl be good to go...

if you got time to practice and tweak it I would work my way up ot th 100 shot for that race. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Is it a dry shot? I have a wet compucar kit.. I dynoed 240rwhp and 277rwtq with a 50 shot, on a 90 shot I put down 292rwhp, and 393rwtq, and on a 125 shot I put down 313rwhp, and 433rwtq.. I had the same mods you have with a 5 speed.. I was beating down stock gt's on a 50 shot.. Go get em..

They run 14.3's stock..if its an auto its alot slower then that. Bump it to a 75 shot and go get him.

They don't all run that.^^^ I've seen some dip into the very high 13s (13.8, 13.9). But they are good for low 14s on average, including the automatics.

they run around the same times stock lt1s run. low mid 14s and with a good driver they can hit high 13s stock. IIRC gts dyno around 230-240rwhp. so with a 75 shot id say its fesible that you can beat him. do some light weight reduction while youre at it.

sorry to say i don't think so. i stock gt will run 13.9

my fiance's gt with a few bolt ons like exhaust, an h pipe and intake did a 13.7.

what kind of 1/4mi MPH and ET are you putting down with those power numbers? :cool:

i think one of the biggest things in a race no matter what kind of car you have is whether you can drive it first. ive seen stock gt's hit 13.8 and gts with mods hit higher just for the fact they can't drive it.so if i was you i would ride with him once and tell him to get on it and see if he has the balls to drive it. some people have fast cars but are to scared to push it.
