For skinnies:
Weld draglite 15 X 3.5's www.summitracing.com sells them
Get the lug nuts too.
2 5/16th inch spacers also.
Technically you should purchase longer wheel studs... if you do then you must alsso purchase open ended lug nuts... I have yet to do so.
Tries for skinnies:
bf goodrcih makes a 165 80 15 tire. It is $38? www.tirerack.com
For drag's
16 X 8's are fine. Looks for a camaro salad shooter wheel... it is the lightest.
255 50 16's are a perfect tire size.
I like bf drag's
mickey thompson's are awesome (from what I've read) but you prob don't need them yet.
For battery:
give us a link to the exact battery you are getting.
You would need screw in battery terminal adapters.
Also, you need to fab up a different hold down bracket.
Hope that helps

Bah, use the stock hold down with a 2x4 on the other side. Daily driven for 2 weeks, hasn't budged yet. Can't vouch yet if it would pass tech, but a little plumbing strap would probably ensure that.

sounds liek a good list. make sure you spend a lot of time/effort on tuning the computer in once you get it all together. DO NOT MAIL ORDER A TUNE!!!!
get hptuners yourself or find someone who has it and the wide band set up so you can develop a tune from real driving conditions.
How much do my stock 2000 Camaro 16 x 8 wheels weigh?
How much do Salad Shooters weigh?
I heard somewhere that 2000+ Camaro's have the lightest wheels.
Are Salad Shooters really lighter than my stock wheels or no?
I've searched a lot and get different answers in each post. LOL
Does anybody know the EXACT weight of my stock wheels, and Salad Shooters?
MY BFG 255/50/16 DR's on salad shooters weighed like 44lbs. a piece. Also, wanted to mention: if you are going to consider adding A LOT of power to your car in the future, ie. nitrous, blower, cam/internals, etc. I wouldn't skimp on some cheap $30 tires that "might" not hold up at a high mph (or) the abuse that occurs while racing. Better to be safe than sorry. Do it right the first time and stick to racing tires if possible. As for your stock wheels, I say just keep em' and put the DR's on those...why spend money on someone else's "stock" wheels when you already have a set.
if you can find a set of 15x7 thridgen firebird wheels and throw some 235/60-15 bfg or m/t dr's on them you will be in good shape.
that is all the tire that little g rocks and he actually has bog problems
Will those wheels fit the rear w/o modifications, or is there grinding involved? Are those wheels really that much lighter than mine? Also can I have a picture of the wheels you're talking about? Thanks!

the wheels fit perfectly on little g's car when he got his first det of drag radials. i don't think we even had to use any spacers, and i know we didn't do any grinding. http://www.geocities.com/transamchick85/banner.jpg
not the best pic, but you can see the type of wheel that it is. they weigh about 2lbs less than 4th gen stock 16x8's and can be found in junk yards or online for about $10 each, which leaves a lot mroe mod money than buying new wheels :D
yeah they'll fit...they'll look a little weird because of the backspacing probably but they will fit.
