opinion on this race....

alright spring is comming and me and my friend are getting all pumped up to put the mods on our cars. I have a 98 camaro A4 with magnaflow exhuast, Free ram air mod, K and N air filter and a smooth bellow. Im gonna be adding headers, Nology hot wires and a high flow cat along with a Zex dry nitrous kit. I will be running a 75 shot ontop of my mods. He has a 2003 GT V6 6spd tiburon that has Greddy dual catback exhaust, AEM cold air intake, Nology hot wires and headers. when we raced stock for stock he would beat me everytime. Then i got my exhaust and we raced and it was even closer. Sometimes i would beat him sometimes i wouldnt. But he keeps arguing with me telling me that with his mods and my mods Including the Nitrous that he is still going to "beat" me and that i wont see a 1/4 time any lower then high 14's. My goal is to hit low 14's. Is it possible?? and is it just me or should he not be telling me that hes gonna beat me with nitrous?

ummm..assuming his mods remain the same..there is no way in hell that he will beat you with you running a 75 shot and i have NOOOOOO idea why he thinks he would..go kill him :D ..or let me show him what a nitroused V6 Camaro can do ;) ..as far as low 14s ..i dont know where you're running now..but a 75 shot usually produces about a 1 second gain on our cars with just simple intake and exhaust work..my guess is that you're probably running around 15.2 - 15.4 so i wouldnt worry about it

ok hes still arguing with me saying that with the 75 shot i will only be making 235 HP to the wheels along with my mods because he believes i have "low compression" which i dont because theres no blow by on my rings and i have 86K on the pistons, and only 17K on the crankshaft and everything else internal on the motor. He still guarantee's that he will beat me so im gonna hafto wax him

you shoul be around 250 ish with thos mods on a 75 shot...

get some gears too then see what he has to say ;) ;)

Your friend is an idiot. You should easily have low 14's with those mods.

While you're at it, I'd get a higher stall and gears, you'll be high 13's all day long.

Actually, I see you have 18" chrome rims, that's gonna slow you WAY down. So you probably are only gonna run mid 14s with just the 75 shot.
