OK Folks, I hope this question is in order ... I've got a modified camaro (slightly). The only thing (for now?) that puts me out of G Stock is the 32mm FSB and 21mm RSB, and the slp CAI. Might do more ... like SFCs. My PHR is 1LE, but that's just bushings. Anyway:
Is there a G SP? i've never seen a car in it, and no one in my division / the nationals seems to run it. Do our cars just end up in an ST category? Are we bumped somewhere else? I don't have my Solo II rulebook.

Here is a good site that has basically summerized the rules. It basically list the allowable mods for the stock and street prepared classes. From what I understand the only thing allowed for stock is upgraded shocks and sway bars. Once you move up to the street prepared there is a lot more you can do.
Stock class allows:[*]Any shocks that mount the same as stock shocks[*]Air filters that mount the same as stock filters (no lifting air boxes and such)[*]Front sway bar which mounts the same as stock with any bushings (1lE anyone?)[*]DOT approved tires (e.g. Kumho V700s)[*]Cat-back exhausts (so changing the cat is not allowed)
Wait WAIT WAIT ... modified V8s and V6s run ESP?
And I thought SFCs could be bolt-on for SP? and that weld-on meant SM?

If you don't plan on running for a trophy at the end of the season then it doesn't matter which one you run in, as long as you don't take top points away from people who are racing for points. They don't check your car extremly close at local events, I'm not sure about divisional races. Mostly they check for safety, make sure nothing will fly off or get thrown around the inside of your car. I always have to take my nitrous bottle out at my events too, our tech guy is a moron for one and he's just a d*ck.

Going off of the link carldev96 provided, the Street Prepared rules speak of "removal of a welded-on part of a subframe" and nothing about subframe connectors. General rule of thumb is that if it's not mentioned, it's not allowed. The Street Modified rules state:
"Subframe connectors are allowed, but each connector must be attached individually without any lateral components attaching the two longitudinal frame rails. Subframe connectors may be bolted or welded."
Like North Cali said, if you're not going for points, it doesn't matter. If you're autocrossing for the first time this year, you'd run the novice class anyway (GS-N, ESP-N, etc.)
