You need to look for the local organizations that hold events. It may be your local chapter of the SCCA, it may be a local car club, or a branch of the BMW-CCA or Z-Car-CCA. Find them, their website, their online reg. form, their mail in reg. form, or maybe you just show up that morning. Here around DC it's all online.
As for your tires, my sage advice to you would be DONT WORRY ABOUT TIRES until at least next year. Just run what you have, you're not going to take home a trophy for sometime. Learn what an autocross is, get a veteran to show you around, go through a year of events, and then consider some tires.
And, with all of your mods, you're in one helluva class.

i have to admit though. joining nasa would be cooler
Not really. Speed Freakz (SCCA's under 25 program) is $25 a year for a crew lic. and solo race lic., and 45 a year for a full crew and race lic., and their normal (all ages) program is like $60 or 65. With the SCCA benefits, and the growth of the organization, I'd definitely reccommend them. It all depends on the presence in YOUR area (SCCA around here rents FedEx field: HUGE HUGE lot for Solo II). I've never been to a NASA event, though I follow them sometimes in magazines. I didn't know NASA did autocross, I thought they just did specific-series RR.

I assume you are not stock... so probable going to be in a prepared class, jsut make sure you don't do a mod that puts you in a higher class.

I contacted some guy that is helping me get setup. He says im gonna be class "C". What does that mean?
UMM? Not sure. You're in (mod order):
G Stock
Street Touring X (street tires only)
E Street Prepared
And I'm not sure where it goes from there for F-Bodies.
