(Update with PAX scores in post below)
First autocross on the new Falkens - bought a set of Centerline 17x8's just to get these tires.
I was not disappointed.
I'm usually about 3 seconds (raw time) behind my friend Fern in his GTI (his coilovers and Falkens have him handling like a mofo), and this time he only got me by one second. Course was nice and flowing, a nice changing-radius 360 skidpad even, so the grip helped a lot.
Other new mod - a four point harness. For you autocrossers who don't have one, get one. It was so nice being able to use my arms and legs to drive the car, instead of trying to keep myself in my seat with them. All driving inputs were way smoother as a result, gaining time. I might start to learn to do some left foot braking too, now that I don't have it wedged against the dead pedal.
Net change - I had a few friends riding along, and I look over during the skidpad and see them hanging on armrest for dear life trying to stay in the seat = the Falkens
Meanwhile, I'm just nice and stable, wondering "what the heck is their problem keeping upright?" = the harness :D
