My friend just bought a new manual VW GTI 200hp stock, no mods. He wants to drag with me. I have a manual 98 Camaro V6 (200hp stock) with exhaust, intake, air temp module, and thermostat. Anyone think the mods will make up for his car being a lot lighter than mine? I assume it will be close. Comments welcome :)

Re: Racing a 2006 VW GTI?
Not really the right section for this... Road Racing != Street Racing. I have no clue how quick an 06 GTI is, but my friend's 04 was pretty quick (probably a high 14 second car). The only problem it had was it couldn't put the power to the ground. If you are going to beat him you are going to need a good launch.
