Even with open 3.08's you can get down into low 2.3 60s with practice...just keep it up and try going when the weather is cooler...you will see much better times.
Don't feel bad, and don't run it again in the heat of summer. The first time I ran my car it was in the middle of summer and i pulled out an amazing 16.8! With a little practice (and 3.42s) I got it down into the 15s easily.

Practice is worth more than you would think...and then when you do get better weather you'll be ready to make some good runs.
definitely..my first ever season racing i took a full half second off my ET just by practicing my launch and short time..when i had the open 3.08 i was able to cut 2.1 60's on street tires and 18" rims..so dont sweat it man..soooo much can be done with a little more practice (because the track is WAY different than the street) and dropping that 60'

Well thats sort of ridiculous advice.
Definatley run it again in the summer and run it as much as you can.

quoted for truth. summer is perfect for practice. everyone knows times go down hill in the summer due to heat and humidity. so everyone goes out and practices for the good weather in the fall. :)
