Re: Weight the same?
You also have to take into consideration the amout of options on each car. For instance, power windows and locks will weigh more than manual ones.
Also, taking out your spare, backseat and the plastic panels in the back doesn't drop as much weight as you might think. Maybe 40-50 lbs at the most.
Edit: Also, if you have the RS ground effects kit and spoiler on the Camaro, that will add a bit of weight.
And someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the automatic transmission is a bit heavier than the manual?1998 M5 3.8 Mystic Teal Camaro
Flowmaster exhaust, Pacesetter headers, 3\" cat, 3\" S-pipe, whisper lid, ram air, Spec Stage 1 clutch, Poly Trans mount, Walbro 255LPH. Re: Weight the same?
the automatic transmission is heavier. Sounds like your 'Maro is a pig if it weighs as much as the 'Bird. :)-Eric
2002 Navy Blue Camaro...Striped and Stalled. 35th Anniversary SS wheels
Best ET: 15.384 @ 88.32 on street tires
Project Whitney: Goal, 14.0 1/4 by summer 2008.
