  • Nice Race Story!!!

I get off work at about 11pm eastern time. Anyway i'm talking to this girl and she tells me today is her last day, well after about 1-2 minutes of talking she hopes in her car (which before I thought she drove a slow car, man i was wrong ), which is a Silver 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. I hop into my Pewter 2000 Chevrolet Camaro and while im turning out the parking lot, she freakin cuts me off completely. So i caught up to her at the next turn and then while on this straight road that last about 3 miles we straight gas the car's to their max. We were running head to head for the first mile, then she puts 2 car lengths in front going about 85 mph , so i hit the gas and im now going about 95 mph. And at the last fews secs we were hitting over 100 mph, dodging and dipping throughout other cars and i start to pull away dramatically and win.

The story may not see amazing, but come on this was a girl!

Hooray. You drove recklessly over the course of three miles, dodging artfully around cars on the road. If I drove like you I'd be celebrating every night I come home alive.

This is a perfect example of why we dont have a kill section anymore. A quick race from a light with no traffic is one thing, but dodging traffic....stupid. Thats how people get killed.

                  Re: Nice Race Story!!!

                  here's the thing....

races are going to happen, and to be honest I love hearing about them, with the guys story being the exception. It is absoultely ridiculous to have to do any kind of weaving thur and around traffic, how about when you hit traffic, STOP!

Back to kill stories, mostly love them, and I think most people are smart enough on here to in the best way i can put this "race responsibly." What I mean by that is they take innocent people out of the equation. Now to the fact that kill stories arent posted doesnt mean they aren't happening, I guess its just a shame we cant hear about a few ricers or stangs or LT1's, LS1's taken it from a 6 every now and then.

                    Re: Nice Race Story!!!

you can post all you want as long as its done in the safe confines of a track. james has posted that a few times. its kids like the one who posted this that killed the kill stories section in my opinion becuase they show no reguard for other peoples saftey whatso ever. and all it takes is a few bad apples to ruin it for everyone. in our case this has been a problem for years.

the difference between our site and others are that our admins decided the best way to not promote street racing is to just off the section all together. which may seem harsh to some, but in the long run some people will get the point and take it to the track hopefully. yes- for the most part most of us(including myself here and there but very rarely) do it, but for the sake of being safe TAKE IT TO THE TRACK!! that way you can post all you want about what you beat, have proof(timeslips ftw so no BS flags) most importantly no one but yourself is put at risk.

timeslips prove anything and everything to me. when a kid in a civic pulls up to me i pull timeslips and ask him can you do that? if he cant why bother? if he can chances he'll be at the track and ill get my shot at him then with no excuses.

current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it

                      Re: Nice Race Story!!!

I totally hear what you are saying, but i think the problem is a lot of us do not have access to a local track, its quite a drive to get to one. My track is the back road of the industrial park, 0 traffic, and straight.

Check out this link. A local guy from my area was street racing his 02 Camaro SS 35th annivesary and died when he wrecked into oncoming traffic.
