what does it run? You ought to drop in a turboed LS12k2 camaro, K&N, SLP whisper lid, Konis, AEM, HP Tuners, Angel eyes/Halos, CF SS ram air hood, 4.10s, Zexel Torsen, UMI SFCs, CrossFire, BFGs, Gatorback, Catco, Flows, and TLC! DONT feed the Trolls!

why do 2 people think a turboed LS1 will blow up in a supra?
thats a dumb assumption
many people have already done it and not blown up2k2 camaro, K&N, SLP whisper lid, Konis, AEM, HP Tuners, Angel eyes/Halos, CF SS ram air hood, 4.10s, Zexel Torsen, UMI SFCs, CrossFire, BFGs, Gatorback, Catco, Flows, and TLC! DONT feed the Trolls!

There is a guy here in Omaha, that swapped an LS1 into his 99 Silverado pickup truck. Twin turbo with 1000+ hp at the wheels. Sucker runs low 10's :rock:

Shane youre right, the supra engine is awesome
Stock Supra internals have indeed seen above 800 rwhp but it's not the norm to run them that hard without upgrading, especially for routine track racing... Very well built bottom end from the factory, as is the case with many cars that come with stock forged internals... But that whole "easily" thing is a gross exagerration. Running a 150 shot just to spool an oversized turbo with race gas is not "easy" to me. I mean, it's 1k rwhp... It's not gonna be easy on ANY car! That's ridiculous.
A stock LS1 block can handle 500-600 rwhp but not without taking small risks on the pistons... then the stock connecting rods... then the stock crankshaft which has reliably seen over 800 rwhp on some LS1's, and then the block... But yeah the stock pistons are the weakest link on LS1's, motors not intended by the factory for boost. However, that is easily remedied. With forged pistons, LS1's can hunt down many Supras2k2 camaro, K&N, SLP whisper lid, Konis, AEM, HP Tuners, Angel eyes/Halos, CF SS ram air hood, 4.10s, Zexel Torsen, UMI SFCs, CrossFire, BFGs, Gatorback, Catco, Flows, and TLC! DONT feed the Trolls!
