  • How to get ET down to 15 in a 1/4

    what type of bolt on mods can i do to get my et to 15 sec
    i was thinking headars and a k&n cold are intake and getting rid of the cat
    i curently have a flowmaster american thunder 2.5 cat back system
    99 3.8

    you should be pretty much in the 15s stock. Also this isn't really advanced tech stuff either.

            stock i believe they run mid 15's, low 15's with a great driver and traction! :banana:

            so if you wnt to get your car into the 15 range, go to driving school!:wavey:

              not really. maybe in perfect weather with perfect traction,with god driving, and the car being a factory freak then yes but its not something you will see in all likelihood.

                eric is the only one that i know of that ran 14's "stock" and he wasnt really stock, i know he pulled the belt, exhaust, and ran an open intake, and the good driver mod.

                generally stock 3.8 should run between 15.1-15.8 or so. track, driver,wheather, they all play a big role.

                    Hehe, been there, I run the tracks around here all the time for Performance Driving days setup by local groups. Fun stuff!

                    BIR- Brainerd International Raceway in Minnesota is I believe the countries fastest amatuer track, alot of guys hit 150-160ish on the straight.

                        See what your car is actually capable of first before asking what it *hypothetically* could run with "X" mods. Bring in a full timeslip and a lot of people here can help you set a realistic goal and attain it.

                              My '98 V6 ran a 15.14@90 with just a flowmaster muffler, Y87 and A4.
