    Re: I went again :P

You dont need that much tire on our cars...it's going to end up bogging on launch unless you run a VERY high psi.

Drag radials are easily capable of 1.4 60s, and I doubt a turbo car is going to be getting that low. I run my mickey thompson drag radials at 33 psi when I launch on an 80 shot and cut consistant 1.6 60's. When I bump up to the 120 shot next time out with the other few things I've done I should be seeing high 1.4's and will have no problems hooking on a DOT drag radial.

The harder compound of the drag radial will give you better acceleration and better traps.

10 second vettes run on mickey thompson drag radials (not et streets) and have no problems....V6 fbodies have no reason to be bolting them up.

If you notice his sig, he's looking for 11's. I'd say he could use them :P

11's arent anywheres near needing them.

My car how it stands is ready to run 11's, I just havent gotten to the track yet with the new setup...and 255 MT et streets are more than enough, and I gurantee my car is leaving the line harder than a turbo V6 fbody will.

nitto's DR's and the M/H slicks, so we will see what works best, and I why could i not cut a 1.5 or lower 60'

              4000 stall
              BB turbo
              .64 hot side
              just to name a few

              ...yea

                Re: I went again :P

I just dont think it's going to cut 60's like that, no other turbo V6 fbody ever has (not that that means it's impossible) but I dont think it's going to happen without a transbrake on it.

If it does post up. And nitto drag radials are junk, so you're sorta between two extremes :P

The M/H slicks are definate overkill though, because like I said, a good drag radials will easily tackle 1.5 60s.

                  Re: I went again :P

Seems like turbo cars get 2.0 60s as there average, especially t70s

Not saying you won't, it'd be nice to see you cut a 1.5 or lower 60, I just don't think it's going to happen without spray. Or do you plan on spraying off the line?

Nitto's worked out well for me the first time out.

and I guess we'll see what 60's it puts down.

I HOPE to have it street ready in a week ( i am waiting on a few cuplers to come in and a throttle cable plate.)

after that i have small projects to do (subframes, diff cover, line lock) etc

then i hope to have that done, have it fully tuned in about a month or so
