what would it take?
currently have a flowmaster cat back 2.5in and 3.42/lsd.
plan to put in a alum drive shaft and do the free ram air mod and remove the baffels and a K&n air filter and a 00+ manifolds.
what else should i do?

gears will help out some. Go with 3.73's instead of the 3.42's you have. the driveshaft will help too. Headers are a MUST. Forget the free ram mod, go buy a lid and K&N. I'm running 15.402's @ 91 MPH spinning off the line with a Moroso CAI, MagnaFlow Cat-Back, Aluminum Driveshaft and open diffy with 3.23's. It is possible with just bolts ons, I'm hoping to get close to it next time I go (will have LSD and 3.73's along with lighter rims and better tires and short shifter). Like Floyd said, a big factor is the track you're at. The atmospheric condition can make you run in the low 14's with your current set-up, or high 16's. Find a nice cool (not freezing, but not scorching) day and a track that's close to sea level.

with a stock ET of 15.4, I'd say full bolt-ons, lots of weight redux., and tuning would get you there and thensome
I went 14.6 with an uhooked catback, stock tune, unhooked intake, open diff, 3.23s. and the BELT ON
good air at a not far from sealevel tack though, and a 5-speed.
With a good exhaust, intake and maybe a stall, I coudl see an auto doing it.
tune will help alot with that as well.
BTW I am forgetting what 3.8s trap stock, but your mph seems a little low, maybe take a look at all the normal tune up stuff and the last time you did it. (fuel, air, plugs, wires, pcv, etc...)

this is the strip i go to not sure a bought the altitude.
from what i been told stock 3.8 run around 86mph trap speed.
i was thinking of sending my pcm to texasspeed.com
what should i tell them to do?
btw my car has an auto

I thought so too. With 3.23's open diffy, aluminum driveshaft, cat-back exhaust, and CAI, I've ran a best of 15.402 @ 91.xx MPH
87mph doesn't seem low to me at all for those mods. I think some of you guys are taking the most extreme examples and applying them to every car.
Not every track will run well, and not every car/driver is going to make it into 14s with a simple bolton 3.8. Low-15s, sure.
Sean99, I would say you're still a little ways away from mid-14s with the mods you planned on doing. With the lid and aluminum ds I think 14.9x is possible.
Unless you guys are running at the same track on the same day, it's really pointless to compare trap speeds. a 91 mph car one place one day may be an 86 or 87 mph car another place another day.
Just my .02.

^^^ That's a good point as well. Stock M5 cars can trap 90-91 all day long with a good driver. Autos have to have some mods generally.

14.5 should be fairly easy, forgot the 00+ manifolds, get some headers, a decent intake, and a good TUNE, along with the other crap you listed, and you should be somewhere in the 14s. Take the spare tire out of the back also.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
