ps: reaction time has nothing to do with 1/8 times.

Re: 1/8 mile time
That's not a bad 1/8 time. It translates into high-15s 1/4. Reaction time does nothing for or against your et. Re: 1/8 mile time
You didnt list that in your mods :P
Definatley run 93 in it so you dont get KR...running 104 or whatever octane you put in isnt really necessary, although it will not hurt, and it will insure that you are getting no kr with your tune (which kills power). But honestly, I'd just stick with 93.
What was your 60 foot? And where are you racing (altitude) and what was the weather like?
With those mods you should be able to get into the high 9s in the 1/8th easily if you're at a decent track.Shawn
2002 Silver W68 Firebird

Re: 1/8 mile time
I always hate to see somebody post times of what you should be running with your mods because it seems like they're bragging, so don't take this that way. Anyhow, with the K&N filter, free ram air, smooth air lid, removed air baffles, removed MAF screen, and a high flow cat, I ran a best of 9.76 @ 72.5mph in an automatic. With a the DHP tune and 93, I only bumped it to 9.65 @ 72.7. Your car has more left in it. Like everybody says, get that 60' down some and everything else will look nicer.~Chris
1999 Hugger Orange Camaro
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/273836

†…faith…hope

Re: 1/8 mile time
aluminum DS, intake, catback, and auto x suspension i managed a 9.93 in my 96. but it was having troubles hooking up. cant wait to go back with the full exhaust and the better tires, and the LSD.
shell hopefully pick up a few tenths. hopefully i can grab traction and actually launch the car a little. but still not bad times for what you have done!!!

That's not a good '60, I'm sure you know it. Get that down and you should be in the 9s easily on the 1/8.Last edited by Camarorulz; 03-26-2007, 02:03 PM.-Eric
2002 Navy Blue Camaro...Striped and Stalled. 35th Anniversary SS wheels
Best ET: 15.384 @ 88.32 on street tires
Project Whitney: Goal, 14.0 1/4 by summer 2008.

Either way though, my 60' times were 2.18 and 2.19 for those runs, so definitely work on the launch and the rest will work itself out.~Chris
1999 Hugger Orange Camaro
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/273836

†…faith…hope

Your statement only holds true if someone posts a blanket statement of "what will my car run" without any previous track records for us to go off of.Shawn
2002 Silver W68 Firebird

Re: 1/8 mile time
Eh, it depends. If he does "X" to his car that maybe will take off .2, but he's running in conditions that will make his car run .4 slower, then the comparison is irrelevant.

Our track prep is always terrible. I've seen WS6's and SS's run 8.9-9.1 consistantly there. On the rare ocassion that they get the track right, and the conditions are all perfect, I've seen the same cars run 8.5s with no other mods. It's really a crap shoot, you never know what's gonna happen. Heck, I launched one time down there, and pulled a 2.7 60' time.
