Re: extreme weight reduction
The car didnt need drag radials...I'm sure they wouldnt have improved the times much. The car has 0 guts from a stop.
In all seriousness....they did drop 2 seconds in ET, and that is a HELL of a lot. It's pretty funny how they did it though...but still...thats a huge gain.
Just goes to show how much weight reduction really can do for you (but there should be a stopping point before removing the doors and top of your car :P )Shawn
2002 Silver W68 Firebird

Re: extreme weight reduction
after all my time invested in my free mods, weight reduction and duct tape, thinking my 14.3 second run was cool and beating an SN95 mustang GT at the track, I still can't beat a Sentra.
Why did it's trap speed go down to 82.5mph after some of the mods? aerodynamics maybe?\'97 Camaro M5 Y87 3.23 LSD, homebrew CAI, highfloCat, Flowmaster catback, Pacesetter headers, specstage3 clutch and aluminum flywheel, !egr, 2kW system.

Possible L67 bottom end w/ abbott heads and a turbo in the works... gotta do more homework
