We didnt make it to the 1/4 mile track cuz of weather so the ole' half track (1/8 mile) was the only option tonight.
Previous personal best: 9.25 @ 78 with a 2.31 60'
Best tonight: 9.04 @ 79 with a 2.24 60' :rolleyes:
I made 10 runs but I left the slips in the car, I'll post more of them later, I just remembered my best of the evening.
Differences between the previous times and tonight: aluminum DS and Nitto DR's. I had to reeeeeally heat the tires to get a decent launch without spinning, but still only pulled a 2.24 60' WITHOUT SPINNING :( I have some work to do with this car cuz somethings not right.
Last run of the night (against my dads vette, I lost) my nitrous quit working for some reason. I did some trouble shooting for about 30 mins and gave up. I'm sure its something stupid and easy to fix but I didnt want to do any electrical work in the dark at the track so I called it quits.
I will have some good vids posted later, but they are on a mini DV and I have to load them to my computer first.
BTW, dads 96 LT4 vette: 2, my camaro: 1
His best run of the night was 8.99. We raced 3 times:
Run 1: he launched great and pulled on me by .21
Run 2: he bogged the launch and I won by .3 (ish)
Run 3: he bogged the launch, but my nitrous didnt hit and he beat me by .2 again
