Re: racing
two kinds of SS Cobalts are made: one is supercharged, one is not. The supercharged on WOULD own you, no problem.-Eric
2002 Navy Blue Camaro...Striped and Stalled. 35th Anniversary SS wheels
Best ET: 15.384 @ 88.32 on street tires
Project Whitney: Goal, 14.0 1/4 by summer 2008.

Re: racing
supercharged SS would and will walk you. if you superharge your motor you wouldnt have any problems catching him. just dont be stupid about adding boost to your motor. without the right fuel and what not your going to mess some stuff up.
but then again if the kid with the SS puts a pulley kit of his car, exhaust and intake... it will walk the living daylights out of ya.

Re: racing
i dont know if they are that quick. the new GT's are 13 second cars stock. the cobalt SS s/c is more like a mid 14 second car. theres a good portion of a second seperating the 2. so driver ability comes into play on that one.

Re: racing
Yeah, typically they will go mid 14s stock, but with drag radials, a good launch, and a serious shifter they have gone high 13s (buddy of mine went 13.8 or 13.9 stock on drag radials)
A new mustang gt can be high 13s, but mostly I see them go low 14s because they dont have enough tire for their torque.Shawn
2002 Silver W68 Firebird

And LS1s run low 13s stock at good altitude...so a few less hp in a well driven mustang can easily get 13s.Shawn
2002 Silver W68 Firebird
