The sad part is according to his profile he's not a kid, he's in his 30's. But yeah the FL thing is accurate, seems like every week there's someone knew that found a diffrent way to be stupid around here.

Anyway, i think you guys are way over reacting. He did 145 mph, big whoop. He didn't kill himself, or anyone else, and probably wasn't even close too doing so. Not to mention that if he's ever swapped his tires (and i'm sure he has) then he'll most likely have some nice high performance summer tires (cuz he's in FL) and they'll be rated for waaaay more than 145 (of course i'm giving him the benefit of the doubt here, and :twak: if he is riding on the stock tires).



For some reason, americans have this huge adversion to top speed, its absolutely fine and dandy to accelerate from 0-60mph in under 5 seconds, but if you go 120mph its the end of the freakin world. Looks to me that if some of you guys lived in Europe you'd probably piss your pants with all the "lunatics" doing 130mph on the highways.

dude a more agressive gear like going from 3.08 to 3.73s is going to LOWER your top end speed NOT increase it.

True, but you'll get to that top speed quicker. I don't know what the maximum speed for 3.73 gears is but it could *potentially still be above 145 mph.

Actually, it could be the end of the world for the driver and anyone that happens to be on the same stretch of road as him if the driver looses control at those speeds.

Bad example. In Europe, it's much harder to get a license and even harder to get a car that can reach 130 MPH. European drivers are on an entirely superior level of driving ability compared to the average american yokel.

yep, pretty sure you cant drive untill your 18 to begin with, and like he said, the tests are much harder.
