I was just curious on how possibly removing the backseats, spare tire/jack would effect my quarter mile times. Would there be any realistic difference? I'm trying to decide if its worth it next time I go to the track

depends on how fast(or slow) you car is right now. Personally, I always remove the spare/jack before racing

according to what i have heard... every 100 lbs you take off a car gives you an extra 1/10 in the quarter. im getting ready to find out just how true that is!

My old car ran a 15.868 fully loaded. My next time out to the track, I removed the rear and passenger seats, spare/jack, and ran on a 1/4 tank of gas. The E/T dropped to a 15.489. So yes, removing those items does make a difference.
