My friend has a chipped jetta 1.8t with an intake. We've raced a few times froma stop I usually get him by about 5 ccars or so by 70 froma roll i pull about 2 on him by about 70. Ive heard many camaro v6 owners claim they can't beat stock 1.8t's let alone chipped ones. Anyone else out there ran a 1.8t?

If you are going from a dead stop then I think it is a toss up. If it was from a roll, you more than likely won't have a chance. Especially when the driver knows how to drive stick with turbo.

regardless of whether or not they can drive and if its a turbo or not....

my friends feels very, very slow and hes running 20psi its good for like mid-high 15s on his best day. even he said it

                    Re: jetta 1.8t

i used to take out modded 1.8t jettas/audis in my v6. they always seemed to want the stoplight race. had a lowered audi with fartcan exhaust rev at me at a light, so i thought i'd need the nitrous. we took off and i had a car length on him by the end of the intersection. i could hear that he was still on it and figured his turbo would kick in, so i hit the nitrous (75 shot) and got some real distance on him. saw him at the next light, hanging back. i think that really ruined his day.
