    I'm not done with mine just yet but I was wondering if anyone knows what the fastest N/A 3.4 time is. I saw in most forums timeslips its just 15.0? N/A time....NOT boosted

            not that i know of, a few n20 cars are a bit faster. nobody really seems to have the urge to build one up n/a.

              my car is NA for now. With new gears, a tune, some magic, and a boatload of luck, I may break 15 later this summer. Right now I think 15 is the best 3.4 NA time I've seen.

              What mods have you done?

                huh...I must be the only one building the car for N/A...I don't plan on nitrous in the future either. well so far nothing. But the block is torn completely apart. I'm doing the 3400 top end swap, crane H 272-2 cam (p/n 253941 on summit), 24# injectors, light weight aluminum pistons, pacesetter headers, custom ram air, and a few other little goodies I can't remember right now.

                  I am going with a turbo, but it won't be for a long time. I have several other mods I want to do before that. I was so tempted to the 3400 top swap, but when I was doing my build, information was more scarce. Now there's a whole thread on it!

                  What are you doing for a tune? Will that cam run on the stocker?

                        IMO just swap in another motor...


                        the 3.4L isn't a bad motor just its a BASTARD motor, its in the transition years of OBDI-OBDII, and the only ways to tune it cost a small fortune.

                          I don't think any NA 3.4s with the 3400 swap has been tuned. Russel would probably run a high 14 when his car gets tuned.

                            My car is strait up OBD1, 95 was the only year to feature F'd Up OBD. I got an early 94. there still no tuning for it. i need to retard the spark advance alot...any available chips increase the advance.

                              I've been talking with him and were doing the same thing differently. he went with a better auto-x cam i went with a better strip cam. and a few other fundemental differences. i think I should be able to see 13 tuned not even gonna try untuned.
