  • My first run down the 1/4

    1998 Pontiac Firebird V6 M5
    3.23's

    Good:
Mild intake manis port and polish
    Test Pipe
    Whisper Lid
    Modded airbox

    Bad:
Unplugged MAF. It finally went out and my car runs better without it. :(
Exhaust leak at the test pipe's weld

    15.7@88mph

Explaination: The MAF is unplugged. Everytime I shifted, the damn motor would hesitate like I was letting off the gas and go. So I ran it 3 times and parked it before I hurt anything else.

Hopefully I'm picking another MAF up tomorrow.

Keep in mind, my MAF was unplugged during this run, and it kept hesitating. Main reason for the 60 ft. Whenever I shifted, the car hesitated like I was letting off the gas and went down to like 4800-5k and hung there for a few tenths of a second like my clutch was slipping...but it never did that until I unplugged the MAF. so I know the clutch isn't slipping.

yeah. I should be there again in 2 weeks on thursday. I'm picking the replacement MAF up today or tomorrow, and if I have enough cash I'm going to fix my intake. The hose has a leak in it. :(

yea, your problem is in the 60' foot..which, you've already identified exactly what you need to do to fix it
