  • what you guys think?

    im wondering what i would run at the track now that my car is a manual.
    My best with my auto was a 15.1 at 88 with very bad trans slipping. And ill be getting an aluminum driveshaft also
    car mods...
    pacesetter headers and y pipe
    borla xr1 muffler
    160 thermo
    slp ram air intake /w whisper lid
    275/40/17 street tires
    5 speed spec stage 1 clutch
    pro 5.0 short shifter
    ebach springs
    lca reloc brackets

    so pretty much the only things that are different is the trans and the driveshaft.
    Think that will be enough to get me into the 14s?

      oh that thing is long gone, but i remember my 60' was a 2.18

          He's adding a DS, SPEC clutch, and short shifted manual transmission. I think he can hit the 14s if he can drive.

            too many other factors than that to say anything faster than 14.9999

              I think you will hit 14s... with it once you get driving it down...


              powershift for quicker shifts
              tranny is lighter
              5-speeds generally put more power to the ground
              better gearing


              the shifts will be firmer and better, with a spec and 5-speed. If conditions are the same as the 15.1, I see 14.8s possible.


              If you can use less smaller lighter wheels.
