Best NA is a racecar. High 11's last time I remember, but probably faster now. (Harry Doolittle.) Realistically though, there are a few mid 13 second NA's around here.

lance abbott ran a 12.4 i belive, and its not a full blown racecar.

im too tired to find his post now but he has a bit more than just a heads and cam kit. i belive he has a bored/stroked motor, different pistons, 4.56 or 4.10 rear gears, stalled auto ect ect, the car is nuts, his website has all the mods. go to http://www.abbottracingheads.com and look.

harry doolittle in the 11s, proffessional race car

lance abbot, at least heads/cams mid 12s

little G ran mid 13s with stock internals, 4.10s and weight reduction

I ran 14.4 with free mods and full weight, but no belt.

couple cam guys in the low 14s and 13s

I think a strong running newer v6 with some bolts ons in in the upper 14s.

What's done to harry doolittle's car?

N/A stroker with a big cam and some good heads can probably do 11's and be street driven.

Roller rockers, good flowing heads, intake manifolds, ignition, good tune or fast xfi, 240/230 .560/.560 cam @ like 110LSA, 4.56s, traction, alum ds, no jack no spare tire, hello mid-high 11s.

Re: who has the fastest naturally aspirated car here

He's got a hell of a lot more weight reduction then just the spare tire and jack. He prob. removed the entire interior as well

The guy we're talking about isn't running a stroker motor to my knowledge... Just a built L36. It's a convertible??????

I'd like to see 11's out of my ecotec stroker motor.

Yeah, it's a convertible. White bird w/black top, loads of sponsor stickers. I think I saw it again at the track near me but I had to get going and didn't go over to him. I talked to him years ago (when he was running mid 12's) and he told me it was some kind of pontiac performance division car built specially for him to use in pro stock eliminator. He was showing me the specialty badges on it. I can't remember what was done to it, but the motor looked like a bare bones block with no intake, no accessories/harnessing, ect. I remember him saying that he wished he was racing a V8 instead. Kinda pissed me off, because I thought... geez if they can build him a 3800 car like that, running mid 12's NA, why can't they build them for us and offer them to the public. He was a very nice guy though. If I happen to see him again, I'll talk to him.

Re: who has the fastest naturally aspirated car here

Harry Doolittle's car is a Stock Eliminator car. He's got a cam but it has to be stock lift, stock type pistons, stock weight rods, stock weight crank, can't port the heads or the intake, max of .070" overbore, max of .013" stroke on the crank, 3170lbs minimum, 30x9" radial slick, probably a 5.14 gear, full interior, Metric 200 transmission, FAST fuel injection. There are a ton of tricks to that class that most won't share. I believe he has run 11.94, but most of the time is 12.2's.

Like some others mentioned I ran a 12.48@106 best. 4L60E transmission, 4.56 gear, stock stroke, heads/intake/cam, rockers, 10.3:1 compression, and a few other odds and ends.

12s are unlikely as a daily driver. You will probably have a better chance with a 4.2L Stroker to get a low 13/high 12 second daily driver. I have an 11 second street/strip car planned that will be naturally aspirated, and if I hit my goals, it may inevitably be the fastest N/A v6 fbody around.

We'll see. Give it some time, I just got a steady paying job hahaa.

Re: who has the fastest naturally aspirated car here

I ran 13.53 with stock heads and my car was a daily driver at that time. Had I added heads, ported intake, and a higher stall converter I may have grabbed 12s. Drove a 2 hour round trip with my gf to get to the track that day...so it was definatley my DD.

210/220 112lsa cam, 3500 converter, 4.10 gears, and about 150lbs of weight reduction at that time.

The car is getting completely stripped now, so 13.5 is the lowest DD time it will see n/a.
