      Re: setup

wow i got to print that for some reason i cant make it bigger to read.

my basic setup i have jumbled on the engine, but the suspention i want koni's, sfc's, lift bars, aluminum body mounts, strut tower brace, probably wont drop it just cause i drive hard on regular roads and used to bottom out on occasion with my nova. the roads are worse now. got to love nj

engine i was gonna go all out and turbo for some good drag times, but thats something that the wife may catch onto on a car that im not supposed to mod lol.
im thinking a bunch of goodies from zzp, like stage 2 heads, gt2 cam, tb kit, pcm, headers, and use that in my racing. then add a 75-100 shot for when i want to pound on it in a strait line.

I really liked the Koni Sports on my '98 Camaro with the combination of stock springs, hollow Hotchkiss Sport anti-rollbars, and sticky Nitto NT-555RII tires (275/40-17 size on 17x9.5 Z06 wheels). Only thing was the rear konis needed to be set at near the softest setting for my setup or the rear was a little too unsettled. A common Koni setup for 4th gen camaros is the regular Koni sports up front and 3rd gen Camaro Konis on the rear.

The 4th gen fbodies have a heat issue when autocrossing/tracking that adding a turbo will make happen faster. The issue is failure of the power steering pump and will happen to any stock F-body that is regularly autocrossed or used on track. Might as well plan now on upgrading to the Turn-One racing pump if the car will see any autocrossing/track duty. With a Turn-One pump and Redline Power steering fluid it's good to go! Turn-One: have to contact them directly for ordering a V-6 pump...
