    Re: bolt-on record?

You're asking two different questions. First, as far as the fastest bolt-on car I know of, Little G is running in the mid-13s...stock internal engine.

But, what it seems like you're really asking is how fast should your car be going with it's current mods...and we don't know what your current mods are just from reading this thread

What he said...plus every car responds differently...There are guys on the timslip page running pretty much the same mods as me, but yet there a second faster  So just because you might have the exact same bolt ons as the guy holding the record, doesnt mean you will be even remotely close to his time...really depends on the condition of your car as well...

even bolt on cars have weight reduction, impossible to answer your question.

Little G's car for example is swiss cheese, so much weight reduction it is sick

yup...plus you have to clarify what is considered bolt on only...To me a bolt on car is N/A, stock internals...that means no blower, not nitrous, no cam, no strokers, no rocker arms none of that stuff...just strictly "bolt ons"....but thats just me

yeah, this "bolt on" shouldn't even be a class. Too hard to define, too many interpretations. There's just too many damn classes.

              Re: bolt-on record?

I ran 14.4 with an unhooked drivebelt and other mods... not exactly street friendly.

But I did run a 14.6, with the drivebelt on, same mods

Only weight reduction was jack/spare, but I am 6'5" 300 lbs so I counteracted that. Drove to and from track, on street tires, the factory goodyears with ~35k on them, open diff.

I think the only guys faster then me had major weight reduction, or heads/cams/power adders.

I think they where trying to help you out so that they could give you the best answer. Maybe it would be better next time if nobody answered. Also your answer could have been found if you searched and read a few things. This has been brought up before.

Ask a bad question, get a bad answer. Simple as that.

Your car should run high 14s, but I doubt you have the driving skill to do that

not sure why you guys are jumping all over him...

Its a valid question... there are several levels to the modding world.

Imo... 90% of people that mod cars, drive them and enjoy them. So they prefer to not have a car swiss cheesed, and AC yanked out of it, etc.... They prefer t have a radio, and normal necessities.

but they also enjoy having a modded out car. They may not want to have to crack into the motor which really goes up to the next level of trickyness on modding.

I think knowing how fast a bolt on car with full weight goes is not a bad question, I like to know about it on any car I ever purchase.

Yawn...what's the point? No one is this thread is criticizing him for having a lightly modded car.

Knowing how fast a car can go isn't bad. But when someone throws a temper tantrum because someone can't communicate effectively or use the search feature, then it becomes a problem.
