once you go cage its just no longer a street car to me. Not that I have a problem with that, if I had a nice enough second car I would do it, like a Z or something, but for now I like driving the cobra DD in the summer.

You can't tell he has a cage unless your right on top of it. It's not ungodly obvious like some setups. His is very well blended with the interior.

LOL no longer a street car? I daily drive it all the time and get 26mpg with the A/C on.....id say mine is a great street car if you ask me and im sure many will agree. Just by having NHRA spec safety equipment doesnt make it not a street car. Making it not a street car would be like no mufflers, turn signals, no A/C, gutted interior, ect............

Son of a *****. Your running over 5 seconds quicker than my car with a/c and getting the same MPG. Fuel injection is a beautiful thing.

let me run up the cost of what putting a cage in really means......

if your going cage, your building up a motor and for the Cobra that means

                      teskid block
                      forged everything
3.4 Whipple OR 2.8H Kenne Bell Or Hellion/HP TT kit
                      Solid rear Swap
                      etc

I wouldnt put in a roll cage unless i planned on doing all that, which i dont.

You will, if you were wiling to put it all into a v6 maro in time you will with the cobra.

i doubt it, the camaro was such a let down, I dont feel like investing that much work into another car for a long while

i havent built anything.....Its a bone stock motor still with 110k miles, never lifted the valve covers. I bolted on a bigger turbo and added some fuel....thats it. Im just a bolt on 6 banger ;)
