No, it's not a joke. Stock Eliminator requires stock base circle cam, stock size rockers, all that good stuff. I'm pretty sure he weighed in closer to 3k pounds. It's been a few years since I read about his setup.

Get a rulebook and read everything and that still won't tell you half the secrets and loopholes. The class Doolittle runs is H/FIA. Weight is 3170 with him in it. You can run any camshaft profile as long as the lift is same as stock. There is a lot more to that class than you know. That car is NOTHING like a stock car. The only person who knows the details about Doolittle's setup is probably him and the guys that helped him build the car, thats it.

I want to see a picture of this car though Camarodragcar2002. Sounds like he's done a lot of work.

I've heard he has run 11.9's before but I don't know if its true or not. At Fontana a few weeks ago he was running 12.4-12.5's.

Re: v6 F body race car looking for sponsor

A word of caution about VFN. They suck something awful. Their customer service resorts to name calling. I bought a brand new WS6 hood from them in 04, their mold is junk. They casted it off a stock hood, and there is a raised bump where the OE "Ram Air" sticker is. It's literally junk. $405 for the hood and 3 body shops quoted me 12 hours of labor to make it look right, then paint.

Recently, a friend of mine that is doing a Typhoon build, bought a VFN cowl hood. Needless to say, when bolted on, it needed ALOT of bodywork to make it look right. He's looking into Glasstek right now.

Right here you can see what I'm talking about. Also, the coating they use has horrible orange peel out of the box.

Well no ones perfect, that is all involved with paint and body work anyways. That is one of the first steps in body work prep the part....sanding first, even if they say its ready when it gets there its not, you shouldn't expect much from fiberglass companies though

I didn't expect it to be a 5 minute job. But there were glaring flaws in the fit/finish. 3 edges were not finished at all, none of the detailing around the scoops was right, it really wasn't worth the money.

I been to VFNs shop kinda cool really. Fiberglass isnt easy to work with. But the front clip and rear bumper was nice shape. The owners of VFN have so many toys.
