    Try this: http://www.scca-milwaukee.org/Solo/2...rClass2007.pdf

SCCA solo car classifications. Don't know if this will help, I imagine your class would depend on what sanctioning body is running your event.

G-Stock like Vracer said. I started auto-x last year, I'll leave it at that, for now.
You can do some mods and stay in the stock category at the same time and be a little more competitive. If your unsure here is a list in the stock category for allowable mods.

          http://www.odr-scca.org/DIY-classing.htm

As for your competition, like I said earlier sedans and such here is a little list.

          VW GTI
          VW Rabbit
          Mazda 6
          Mini Cooper
          Ford Focus
          Honda Civic (and Si)
          Audi A4
          Celica
          Impreza (some)
          Acura RSX

To name a few, just go, have fun ask a lot of questions and spin out a few times or 3.

I recently joined the local SCCA chapter here. Best I can tell, I will have to run Street Modified. I suspect I will be up against some tougher competition than this list.

yeah, they are all listed on my page, I think it is up to date except for the spring mods I am working on now.

Why? You don't think Street modified is the right class?

I think you might be in ESP, you just have to wait until you get it inspected. You don't really have SM mods.

Thats right changing your cam (edit) and valves from stock puts you in SM they don't allow it even in the prepared classes. Personally you have no chance, hopefully you have good luck against those 400 hp WRX's and Lancers, cause umm... they'll kill ya. SM is basically no rules, you can basically have a race car, most of them are.

My valves are new, but stock.

Good thing I am going out and racing the clock and not anyone else. Being an amateur with zero race experience, I figured out I would get beat by everyone else regardless.

                        Thanks.
