First time ever to strip

Man what a blast, I met up with a local Mustang club and drove down to Beech Bend in Bowling Green, KY. This was the first time I ever raced or spectated at a drag strip. I dont have my slip with me at work but my best time was 2.0 60 ft, 8.9 in the 1/8th, and 13.9 @ 99MPH in the 1/4. Car is completely stock to include a dirty air filter. I ran a 14.3 with air pressure at 36 PSI then dropped rear tires down to 22.5 PSI for my good run.

I don't plan on doing it often as I dont want to break something but what a good time. Heres me at the start of my 13.9 run.





They shut the track down for about 2 hours when a guy in a pro stock car broke his transmission and sprayed fluid all the way down the track so I only got 5 passes in 5.5 hours but it was a great time. Heres some pics of us going down to the track. I'm in the "slow" lane.

i love seeing things like that even if they are mustangs

cruises of multiple same cars is soo cool

thats a pretty solid time! its a m5 right? i dont think ive seen any stock 99-04s do better than 14.2s, and definately not a vert.

Looks like alot of fun, I went down with a few fbodies from around the state last year. I didn't run mine, but the best part was cruising down the interstate and parkway with about 20 fbodies.

It is a M5. I was searching the net before I left and was seeing that others best with vert was 14.3 so on the way down I was shooting for that. I got a 14.0 before I ran the 13.9 and I was stoked, but when I ran that 13.9 I thought I was gonna come through the rag top :banana:
