Re: 13 second N/A runs
well....I didnt run the time I wanted...got about 10 runs in though ...couldnt get any traction, so I think if I wanna run better I definetly need drag radials...heres my best 3 times

all in all it was fun...I beat my buddies srt-4 which made my day (he missed 2nd lol)
to be honest I think the track prep was kinda crappy today...and its weird they entire time I went down the track I heard this whine come from my car....This is the first time Ive ever heard the noise, and it was every single time I ran....loud high pitched whining sound with the pedal down....thought it might be the gears but on normal roads its quiet...Last edited by LETZRIDE; 05-10-2008, 10:50 PM.

Guess I was taking to myself.
A 15 second car does not need drag radials
I was playing with the agx shocks a little, I am not too sure what I should have them set with...on top of this I was running the car right after 1hour 45 minute drive to get there PLUS...sitting in traffic quite a bit....my first runs were 15.4....then I let the car cool down for about 20 mins while I grabbed some food....then I ran the 15.2, but the car was still pretty damn hot....the temp gauge was quarter way up....I would like to run the car when she is cold since thats how I ran it last time....I think then I would break 14's no sweat, but I still need to do something about the spinning...maybe put the lca's to the lowest bolt and play with the shocks some more...I just put them on 2 days ago, so I dont know much about them, I have to feel them out still....Last edited by LETZRIDE; 05-11-2008, 11:58 AM.

Ideally you'd want to be in the 170-190* range.

Re: 13 second N/A runs
Just wanted to throw in I did run high 14s with "intake/exhaust" but I also ran low 15s with a best of a 15.2 bone stock.
I ran 14.8s with an unhooked exhaust, 14.6s with unhooked exhaust nad intake... and the 14.4s with the pulled belt.
My car was usually ~130* temp wise

Re: 13 second N/A runs
Good weather makes a huge difference.
I dont know the density altitude that your track normally sees so it's impossible for me to know if your times are good or on par or what....
Go to google and look up a DA calculator and then find information for the tracks area, plug it in, and let us know what the DA is.
Keep racing and it'll eventually all come together.Shawn
2002 Silver W68 Firebird

Re: 13 second N/A runs
Drag radials are unnecessary. What kind of tire do you have now? You should be fine with a street tire, but a good one. I was consistently going 2.0 on stock Goodyear Eagle GA's. The #'s aren't bad. 90mph is scooting for these cars, but that will come down slightly with a better 60'.www.fullthrottlev6.com
www.chitownracing.com
