  • What should I expect?

Heading to the track tonight, and am just wondering what you guys think I'll run. I ran a 15.124 with DRs, an intake, and ~100lbs of stereo; I've since done full bolts-ons, a cam, and removed the stereo. I'm running street tires though, so I know I won't get a good 60', but I have a new(er) clutch and am hoping I can slip it abit to get a decent launch.

    Mods:
    Moroso CAI
    3" exhaust
    Pacesetter headers
    Aluminum drive shaft
    Z-28 rear w/3.73s
    Short throw shifter
    GT2 cam

I'm in FL, so track elevation is very close to 0, only thing I see hurting me weatherwise is heat, but it's actually kinda cool today :)

This is what I'm hoping for. If I don't break 14's, I'm going to be very disappointed :(

It's not tuned at all:(. No one really does it in my area, so I'm waiting to get HP Tuners I think.

I was going to go Sat, but then decided Wednesday would be better. It rained today, so I'm hoping for Friday now.

            60': 2.246
            330': 6.285

Run 3, Launched @ 3200--Final and best run of the night!
            R/T: .363
            60': 2.171 << I didn't think a 60' like that was possible on streets like mine!
            330': 6.175
            1/8: 9.485
            ET: 75.05MPH
            ~14.74 in the 1/4!

I was getting used to working the clutch on the launch to get those 60's down. Now I just need even more practice and a tune :)

Nice!! Get your 60's down in the 1.9 and you should be around a 9.0 flat!!

                    Re: What should I expect?

Get it tuned and it will run SO much better.

You should be able to turn high 8s with your setup and a GOOD tune and a good launch.

You can run 1.9s on 275 street tires with practice.

                    Good runs...keep it up.
