3.4's like cam swaps becuase the stock ones wear down and rob performance bad. if its got high miles might want to look into that.
your 60' times arent the best, but even with good 60' times youd still only be running mid 17's.

i remember some people saying they short shifted their M5 3.4's becuase they went faster. again,the stock cam wears down and thus robs power so revving higher does nothing and actually makes you go slower.
if you dont want to manually shift it, let off a little before it shifts and see what happens.

hmmm, yea i would look into a cam swap. I love mine and cant wait to put it on the track But even before that try to "seafoam" your car. thats a lot of miles and prob a ton of carbon buildup in there. Tones of write-up all over the net

i dont think im going to change my wheels because im not going to change my wheels every time i drive to work either, you know?
according to this site, the ss wheels are 22lbs vs 19.5lbs for salad shooters. thats only a 10lb difference total. (only assuming weight. of course the wider tires add more rolling resistance, etc.)
aluminum driveshaft should help counter balance the added wheel weight.
dunno if its worth it to just do a cam. i have all the 3400 parts but i dont know if i want to do that anymore either. v8 swap...

You are doing it right, might be a little slow because of the mileage, hard to say exactly how much though. I run 2/10th of a second slower then that up where I live and the track here has stock Z28 Camaros that run 14.5 all day long. Also your friend good job on the video, I hate videos where you can see the end but cant read the time.
i think VANBIBER is right, your motor is tired, if you want to swap to v8 be ready foy headaches,you will need the motor,tranny,harness,PCM,mounts,brackets,relocated powerstering,new ac condenser,radiator your better of getting an 89 camaro and drop a 305 in it,so simple no computer nothing just carb.
